Q. Who can train with us?
A. Anyone can train with us as our training program has been designed for marines and high school kids, Iron-men and couch potatoes, grandmothers and grand masters. This approach challenges you at your current level of fitness and progresses you to achieve a greater level of conditioning. The only limitation is what you put on yourself.
Q. How is Hydra different?
A. Our training is movement focussed. We work on developing skills, building strength and coordination. Our classes are small. Our coaches know each of our members and tailor each class accordingly, so that each person can work at their own level, but still benefit from the supportive community environment.
Other gyms may not offer Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and other modalities. Some programs are based on body weight only. The experience and skill level of coaches and trainers also varies. At other gyms you pay for someone (or even worse a TV) to tell you what to do. At Hydra we show you what and how.
Choose what best fits you and your goals.
Come in to check out the facilities, meet our coaches and do a free trial class to find out for yourself.
Q. What hours can I come in to train?
A. We are open every day of the week. Check out our Class Schedule. If you are interested in personal training, we are able to accommodate your schedule. Contact us today to set up a complimentary session.
Q. Do you have showers?
A. Currently we do not. We are moving to a new facility and are not in a position to answer that question
Q. Do you have parking available?
A. There is ample on street parking on Mt Alexander Road and surrounding streets.
Q. I’m a student, do you offer discounts?
A. We currently offer a 15% discount on services provided.
Q. Is there a sign-on fee?
A. No. Our class costs are all-inclusive. Choose from 3 days a week or unlimited training. All classes are led by our experienced coaches.
Q. How long after you start training (how many classes) until most people start seeing results?
A. Immediately, once you start with us you will never work out any other way.
Q. If I train weightlifting will I get big and bulky like a body builder?
A. No, unlike bodybuilders, who train in a more isolated, specific way, we train using functional movements, movements that your body was designed to do. Of course, if you have a particular training goal, let us know, and we can help you get there.
Q. When can I come in for a consultation?
A. We are pretty flexible, so get in touch and let us know when you can make it down.
Get in touch with us filling in the form below and one of our coaches will get in touch with as soon as possible
