Amanda is a mum of two little kids and she started her fitness journey 18 months ago. It started with no push ups, yes 0 push ups. She could lift no more than 6 kilos above her head and her cardio fitness was poor.
Since joining us at Hydra, Amanda has turned her weaknesses into strengths. She can easily do 10 push ups on her toes today, squats almost 90kg and deadlifts over 120kg...thats almost double body weight. Amanda has been focused on working on good technique while working within her strengths and weaknesses to help me achieve my fitness goals.
Something she never thought she'd say was that she really enjoys Olympic weightlifting now! and She can run...take that poor cardio!
Her next goal is to be able to do a body weight pull-up and increase her upper body strength even further. One of the great things about her journey to becoming fitter and stronger is when her 5 year old son says, 'I love having a strong and fit mum because she can carry me up big hills when I get tired'.
We think you're pretty awesome Amanda! Keep up the great work and lets get those pull ups
