HYDRA kids classes are open to kids from ages 4 to 14 and run during school terms.
Our kids classes consist of primal movements that are broad, inclusive and scaleable for any ability level. They are designed to help develop well-rounded kids with broad skills, and build confidence and self-esteem.
Like with all our classes, our kids classes are run in small groups so that we can focus on each child's developmental needs, whether that be fear of heights, coordination, confidence etc. The functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play - pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All the movements are taught safely and effectively under our close supervision.
When movement is defined as broad, inclusive and general it means that participants will become well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every movement they choose to make - a sport that they play, playing in the park, or just moving in general.
Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
